It is a policy of this program that no child be educated free of cost. The Mohalla team evaluates the financial capabilities of the parents and requires them to pay some part of the children's fees. Unfortunately, in a substantial number of cases this amount is extremely small and is unable to meet even half of the monthly tuitions fees.
Thus, in order to ease and remove the financial constraints that parents face in sending their children to better schools, the Central Committee steps in to bridge the finance gap. The expenses that the parents are unable to meet are funded by the Central Committee on the recommendation of the Mohalla Committee. Obviously this is a recurring year after year expense as the child progresses from one class to another, and an increasing one as new children obtain admission in schools. The addition of a new Mohalla to the program requires a further major outlay to ensure that children are enrolled in good quality schools.
For the first three years, this program was funded entirely by the Dr. Syedna Taher Saifuddin Memorial Foundation. However, given the ever increasing budget, the program now requires outside funding from philanthropic individuals and educationists who would like to see a better future for the children of Momineen in the less affluent areas of Karachi as per Aqa Maula's (TUS) vision of upliftment of Momineen.
You can help by contributing Rs. 40,000 per annum towards the education cost of a child. This will cover, on an average basis, a child's Education Cost for the entire year. Donations are, of course, welcome in all amounts.
Donations/Payments can be made through cheque/payorder/bank draft in favour of Dr. Syedna Taher Saifuddin Memorial Foundation and sent to the following address:
