Al Mohallatul Mohammediyah

Shahzada Abbas Bhaisaheb Fakhruddin Saheb (DM) has given Raza for Al Mohallatul Mohammediyah to be added to this program. This will be the 5th Mohalla in the AIUT program, after Saleh, Essa, Ibrahim and Adam.

For those familiar with Karachi, Al Mohallatul Mohammediyah is located in Hyderi, North Nazimabad. Closest landmark is Saifee Hospital (which you can see on Google Maps).

One important difference in this Mohallas as compared to the previous Mohallas, is that it is spread over a significantly larger geographical area. There are approximately 550-600 households in this Mohalla.

As always, our first step is collecting data of children, underage and going to school, and of schools in the area. The Mohalla Team has been working on this since December 2010. Though there is till some work to be done, 229 children have so far been identified in the age group 0-6.5 years. This age group is our target for this year; to ensure that all children not going to school (except for under-age of course) are admitted to standard schools.

Data Collection is still in progress. We expect a few additions in the lower age groups, but most of the new data coming in will be of children 6.5 plus to 15 years of age.

After 3-4 months of admission activities, the current summary for children upto the age of 6.5 years is as follows;
